Module Description:
This module aims to enable students to conceptualize the strategic and supporting role of human resources management. Through various human resources functions and a comprehensive staffing process, organizations will be facilitated to enhance performance and achieve strategic goals. The module covers the major aspects of human resources management responsibility, namely, attracting, developing and maintaining a quality workforce, which involve activities such as recruitment and selection; talent management; performance appraisal; training and development; career planning; employee retention and motivation; employee health and safety, etc. Contemporary and dynamic issues in human resources management will also be covered. Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
